Audubon™ <br>Centennial Collection

The National Audubon Society, one of America's most well-known and respected environmental organizations, is celebrating 100 years of conserving and restoring our natural world. Dedicated to protecting birds, other wildlife and their habitats, the organization is named for famed naturalist and wildlife artist John James Audubon.

John James Audubon was a daring and colorful character renowned for his adventurous nature, his artistic genius, and his obsessive interest in birds. He explored the natural history of much of the central and eastern United States, painted almost 500 species of the 700 or so regularly occurring North American species, worked tirelessly to promote his project, and set a new standard for artistry and printing. Perhaps above all else, Audubon was a lover and observer of birds and nature. Audubon's dramatic portraits of birds in their natural state capture the amazing variety of colors and textures found in the birds of North America. These classic images have endured through two centuries, and remain highly popular and collectable to this day.
