Thelma Winter stirs remembrances of a joyful, cozy special place for the holidays – home. The detail, depth, brilliant colors and nostalgic snowy scenes are key to Thelma's delightful creations. She is indeed a remarkable and talented woman. She was 53 when she first picked up a brush and began to paint beautiful scenes around her, having had virtually no training. Now long before she picks up a paint brush, Thelma travels many miles searching out beautiful old homes, barns, and covered bridges, being especially conscious of light quality and backgrounds. She has discovered a profound joy in watercolor painting, and with a smile states that painting is the best “retirement” she could have imagined. Now Thelma extends a warm invitation for you to join her in experiencing a happy hometown holiday. Travel with her down country roads and into villages blanketed with pristine white snow, glowing lights flickering through Victorian windows, and you too will feel a warm sense of belonging.
