I install new collections, but they don't show

This usually is caused by a corrupt slideshw.ini file. If you are comfortable with editing text files, you can edit it. First, close the screen saver application by clicking on the Leaf icon in the icon notification area of the taskbar (this is located in the lower right corner of your screen to the left of the time) and select 'Exit' from the pop-up menu.

Next, locate the Slideshw.ini file. It should be in the C:\Windows directory (c:\winnt on Windows 2000). If you can’t locate it there use the Windows Search tool to locate it. Once the file is located right-click on it and copy and paste Slideshw.ini to the same directory (the new file should be named "Copy of Slideshw.ini") and open the original Slideshw.ini.

Look for a section titled [2ndCollections]. Underneath this, you will find one line for each collection you have installed. If there are any lines that begin with an equal sign or a string of obviously garbage characters, delete that line, then save the file and restart Windows. Your collections should now all appear, except those deleted from the file.

CUSTOMER APPLAUSE: I'm pretty much home-bound and your screen savers bring places to me that I can't visit - which is a joy. BUT I buy them because it's a way I can travel *and* support environmental causes at the same time. And of course because of the high quality of your contributors' photographs. Thanks for the joy and thanks for supporting the earth. Ellie Moses, Knoxville, Tenn.
