Method 2 Hold down the Shift key (Windows and UNIX) or the Option key (Mac OS) when clicking the link to download the file. Navigator will prompt you for a location to save the downloaded file. Method 3 Properly configure Helper Applications in your Web browser preferences for the file type you are downloading.
