Selections in Image Manager don't stick. I can't change any options.

This is due to a corruption in your settings file.

Here is a simple procedure to find and delete this file on Windows XP:

1. VERY IMPORTANT: If you have installed any collections from an old CD or disk, then you MUST install the free sampler or free software update from our web site after doing this. These old disks and CDs will install old software as well and you need to remove the old code and install new code which the sampler or update will do for you.

2. Click “Start” then “Search”, then “All files and folders”.

3. Enter “settings.ini” in “all or part of the file name”.

4. Select "More Advanced Options" and Make check the option to search hidden files and folders.

5. Click “Search”.

6. One of the lines should end in “application data\second nature”. Right-click on that filename and select “Delete”. IMPORTANT: If there is a settings.ini in "application data" as well, delete it too. A very old version of our software had a bug and put it there.

7. Reboot. You should now be able to select collections to display.

Second Nature is a proud supporter of nonprofit environmental organizations and has contributed more than $2.5 million dollars to help preserve the world's natural wonders and wildlife.

CUSTOMER APPLAUSE: I'm pretty much home-bound and your screen savers bring places to me that I can't visit - which is a joy. BUT I buy them because it's a way I can travel *and* support environmental causes at the same time. And of course because of the high quality of your contributors' photographs. Thanks for the joy and thanks for supporting the earth. Ellie Moses, Knoxville, Tenn.
