Robert McCall

A life-long interest in space and flight has caused Robert McCall to state: "I want to communicate my own personal sense of wonder about the universe, about the environment of outer space, about the potential for the future--on earth or elsewhere." And communicate he has! From U.S. postage stamps commemorating various space achievements to the National Air and Space Museum's 6-story high mural celebrating America's first manned lunar adventure; from powerful conceptual paintings for movies such as Star Trek, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Disney's The Black Hole to such canvasses as Disney's EPCOT Center's 19 x 60 foot The Prologue and The Promise. A 35 year association with NASA has given him the singular privilege of artistically chronicling our space program from the early Mercury flights to the space shuttle.
