The installer generates the error message “Sorry, the unlock attempt failed with the following error (-3) Failed to open file” when it cannot download necessary information form the Authorization Server. Be sure you are connected to the Internet prior to launching the installer. ALSO AND VERY IMPORTANT: Some firewalls (such as SyGate) block our requests. If you get this error, you must disable your SyGate (or other) Personal Firewall software. |
